通过EFI（景深扩展成像）功能，仅需点击一下鼠标，DSX510便可获得整个样品都对焦清晰的图像。在EFI（景深扩展成像）过程中，随着焦点位置的上下移动，采集多张不同焦点位置的图像。在这些图像中，样品上聚焦清晰的各部分会被提取出来合成一幅整个样品都聚焦清晰的图像，实现对凹凸不平的样品的精确检查。Olympus的EFI图像采集速度比以往快了许多。
